Allow an Extra Year in a Course Plan

The setting to allow an extra year in a course plan is used to accommodate students who plan to return for an additional (5th) year of high school. It determines if a student will see an additional column in their course plan beyond the 12th grade.

Note: This is typically set for the district and can only be modified by those with Administrator Access. If you need a reminder about access levels, check out Educator Permissions.

To access the Course & Diploma Settings page:

  1. From your Educator Account, under Features, click Courses & Diplomas.
  2. From the Courses & Diplomas page, click Settings.

The following options are available with changing this setting:

  • If this option is set to No, then students will not see an additional column.
  • If set to Optional, then all students will have the option to add a column.
