Xello's Reports are a powerful, quick, and easy way to track the progress of your students' work in Lessons, assess their engagement, ensure they're on track for course plans, and easily pin-point which students need a bit more encouragement.

Completion Standards reports cover everything to do with Lessons. View how many students have not yet started their lessons, how many are in progress, and how many have completed them. Narrow the data by lesson, by grade, or check out individual student work from their profile.

Xello's Completion Standards reports offer educators a clear and comprehensive view of how students are progressing on all their assigned tasks and activities. Easily monitor what students are working on and quickly see where they might need a little extra support to stay on track with their future readiness goals.

Run a report on completion by lesson

Run a report to view how many students have completed each lesson. You'll be able to view the students who have completed it, who has been exempted, and who still needs to complete it. Use this opportunity to add students to a group, send a reminder, or exempt students from needing to complete the task.

To run a report on lesson completion:

In your educator account, click Reports and select Completion Standards.

Locate the lesson and click its name.

This will open the task modal where you can get a reminder of what the lesson is about, who it's assigned to, and view helpful related resources.

Click View report to open the lesson's report. From this report page, you can do the following:
- Apply Filters to narrow the list by grade, school (only at the district level), group, completion status, and more.

- Click a column header to sort the table by that column.
- To add or remove columns in the table, or to export the report to an Excel or CSV file, click Data options.

- Click Add to group to add selected students to a new or existing group.
- Send message will open a modal where you can to send an in-context message to the selected students.
- Click the Mark as... dropdown to exempt students from completing the task.
- Click on a student name to open that student's profile where you can view their progress on all their assigned tasks.

Run a report on Completion by student

Run the Completion by student report to view how many assigned tasks have been completed by student. For each student, you'll be able to see each assigned task and whether its been completed. Use this opportunity to track the students who still need to finish their work, add them to a group or send them a message to encourage them.

When viewing the Completion by student report, it can be helpful to apply Filters to narrow the list. For example, apply the Task type filter so you can filter by type, such as About Me, Xello Lesson, Goals & Plans, and more.

To run a report on Completion by student:

In your educator account, click Reports and select Completion Standards.

This opens the Completion by student overview page. From here you can do the following:
- Click Include optional tasks to include tasks that are not assigned to students.
- Click Include lower grade tasks to view tasks assigned to grades earlier than the student's current grade.
- Apply Filters to narrow the report by educator, group, or task type. This is useful if, for example, you'd like to view which students have completed their Xello Lessons.

- To export the report to an Excel or CSV file, click Data options.
To dive into the report, you can choose one of the following:
- In the Grade column, click the grade to view all the students in that grade and their task progress, regardless of whether they've completed the task.

- In the Complete column, click the number next to the percentage to open the list of students in that grade and their completed tasks.

- In the Incomplete column, click the number next to the percentage to open the list of students in that grade and the tasks they have not completed.

Once on the Completion by student narrowed report, you can do the following:
- Apply Filters to narrow the list by grade, school (only at the district level), group, completion status, task type, and more.
- Click a column header to sort the table by that column.
- To add or remove columns in the table, or to export the report to an Excel or CSV file, click Data options.
  Tip: If you haven't narrowed the report by Task type, every task will show as a table column option. To show fewer options, click Filters, and choose a Task type. When you return to Data options, the list of Table columns will be only those in the task type you selected.
- Click Add to group to add selected students to a new or existing group.
- Send message will open a modal where you can to send an in-context message to the selected students.
- Click on a student name to open that student's profile where you can view their progress on all their assigned tasks.

Run a report on lesson completion by grade

Run a report on lesson completion by grade to give you a clear overview of student progress across different grade levels. This allows you to quickly identify which grades might need extra support with their Xello lessons. From this report, you can easily filter to see students who haven't completed a task and send them a message to provide additional guidance.

To run a report on how many students have completed the lesson by grade:

In your educator account, click Reports and select Completion Standards.

Locate the lesson and the grade you want to view. Click the percentage or checkmark in that corresponding cell.
Tip: click the percentage in the All column to view all the grades that have been assigned the task.
This will open a fly-out panel with an overview of the completion rate and includes a breakdown by school (only at the district level) or group.

Within this panel, you can do the following:
- Click each of the grade buttons to add or remove it from the calculations.
- Click Export to export the data to an Excel or CSV file.
- Click the # complete or # incomplete links to open the report filtered by students who have completed the task or not.
- Click the school (only at the district level) or group link to open the report filtered to the school or group. You can also search for a school or group.
To view the full report without filters other than grade, click View report.
