Parents and advisement notes

Help your student's parent/guardian stay informed of how their child is doing in school by using Xello's Advisement notes. When meeting with your students, create an advisement note and make it visible to the parents. They'll then be able to view the notes from their Xello Family account. This is a great opportunity for parents to keep updated on the guidance and advice you provide.

TipTip: To help parents learn how to access advisement notes in their Xello Family account, share with them this Parent/guardian quick guide on advisement notes new tab (also available in Spanish new tab).

How parents access advisement notes you've written:

  1. Parents log in to their Xello Family account.
  2. They select the name of the child's profile.
  3. They click the Advisement notes tab.

  4. Any notes that teachers have made visible will be listed in order of when they were made. If the note includes the meeting date and any attachments, parents will be able to view those, as well.
