Goals & Plans work in tandem to help students set achievable goals that help them envision their future plans. With Plans, students can learn about their many options, select the ones that are best for them, and explore numerous pathways that will help them get there, building robust and actionable plans for their future. Planning for life after high school can feel overwhelming and many students need a helping hand to get started. Goals teach students about how to begin the process of goal-setting and give them the confidence to plan for their futures.

In the meantime, educators can view their students' goals and plans. Run reports to see who has begun creating a plan or goal, and the pathway or category they chose.

Run Reports on Plans

In their journey for future-readiness while in Xello, students are encouraged to plan for their future, by thinking about their options. The Plans feature is for every student, no matter what they're planning after graduation. As they create a plan, they learn about the different pathways they can take, and are prompted to create and edit a task list that will help them reach achieve their plan.

In your Educator Account, run reports to see how your students are building their plans and which pathways your students are leaning more towards. Reports you can run based on Plans are:

Plans by Student
Plans by Grade
Plans by Pathway

To run a report on students' Plans:

From your educator account, click Reports and select Student work.

In the Plans card, click Select report and choose which report you'd to like to view.

Once you've selected a report to view, from the top left of the list, click the dropdown to select a different plans report

Run Reports on Goals

Goals complements the Plans tool. It allows students to set whatever goals they’d like that they can use to start to think about their future plans, or as a way to successfully achieve them in bite-sized steps. Students can learn about different types of goals, set practical steps to achieve them, and reflect on their goals to see how they connect to larger plans.

In the meantime, educators can follow along with the goals students have set and are tracking. Reports you can run based on Goals are:

Goals by Student
Goals by Grade
Goals by Category

To run a report on students' Goals:

From your educator account, click Reports and select Student work.

In the Goals card, click Select report and choose which report you'd to like to view.
