Dig In: Deep Dive on a Career

Xello includes hundreds of career profiles written and researched by our in-house team of experts. Written to a 6th grade reading level and with original hero photography, profiles are accessible and engaging to students.

  1. To view a career profile, click on a career that interests you.
  2. Click Find out why to see how the answers you gave in your assessments contributed to your match score. You can change your answers if you’d like, and your strength of match will be updated.

  3. Click Done in the top right to return to the profile.
  4. Next to the heart icon, click Save to favorite a career, indicate how you feel about the career, and explore further with investigative prompts that call for additional reflection. You can even create your own card!

    TipTip: Saving your options will help you experience a curated Xello journey as activities are specially tuned to your interests and favorites. You can visit your saved options from any page by clicking the heart icon in the top menu bar.
  5. Make your way to the bottom of the career profile page, scrolling past the job description, earnings, and down to the education and training, you’ll see a list of links under Related majors. Choose one to take you to the profile for that Major.

TipTip: Check out the student-facing short video included on the Wrap Up page of this module. Once you've watched, share it with your students. You can link to it on their Resources, place it in an Assignment, or message the link to your student groups in Xello. Take this opportunity to help get them excited for what they'll experience in Xello!
