As an educator, you have the ability to view your student’s course plans and assign a course or override one of their course choices, if necessary. You can also recommend a course for them to review.

Assign a course to a student

To assign a course to a student:

  1. In the search bar located at the top of any page in your educator account, enter the student's name or ID.

    tipTip: Alternatively, from the left menu, click Students and select Student list to browse the full list of students.
  2. Click on the student's name. The About student tab of their profile opens.

  3. Click the Course Planner tab.

  4. Under the appropriate grade column of the student’s course plan, select the required subject you wish to assign. This will open the list of courses in that subject.

  5. Find the course you wish to assign your student and click Assign.

    • This course will show on your student’s Course Planner as “Assigned” with a lock symbol. The student will be unable to make changes to the course.

Recommend a course to a student

As an educator, you have the option to add a recommended course to a student's plan. You can recommend courses that are suited to a student's interests and strengths, future plans, academic growth, or personal or skill development needs. The student will be able to remove a course that you've added as a recommendation.

To recommend a course to a student:

  1. In the search bar located at the top of any page in your educator account, enter the student's name or ID.

  2. Click on the student's name. The About student tab of their profile opens.

  3. Click the Course Planner tab.

  4. Under the appropriate grade column of the student’s course plan, select the required subject you wish to recommend. This will open the list of courses in that subject.

  5. Find the course you wish to suggest to your student and click Recommend.

    • This course will show on your student’s Course Planner as “Recommended” with an unlock symbol. The student will be able to make changes to the course.
