Run Reports on FERPA Waiver Status

If your school has integrated Xello with Common App, you can run a report to see which students have signed their FERPA Waiver. Use this opportunity to group your students or reach out to them based on their status. Available statuses are:

  • Students with FERPA waived
  • Students with FERPA not waived
  • Students with FERPA not signed yet

To run reports on FERPA waiver status:

  1. From your educator account, click Reports and select College Planning.

  2. In the tile called FERPA waiver (Common App), click View report.

    • The filter "Students with FERPA waived" is applied to the report by default.
  3. To view other FERPA completion statuses, click the Filters button and select one or more of the options:
    • Students with FERPA waived
    • Students with FERPA not waived
    • Students with FERPA not signed yet
TipTip: Narrow the data on the list to zero in on the information. From the top right of the list, click Filters, choose the filters to add and click Apply. To add or remove table columns, or to export the table to a spreadsheet or .csv file, click Data Options.
